I went to a pawn shop the other day and saw a Colt 1911 in .22.  The shop said it was number 1 of only 300 made that came direct from the factory in .22. Price tag is 1600.  That seems low to me I don't have pictures but am going to try and go back today and check it out again and take some. If what he says is true the price tag seems pretty small to me.  What are your opinions?

If it's a Colt pre war Ace .22 could be much higher, this one's listed at $3400
Might be a bargin find.

They are very rare and to find one at a pawn shop seems odd do your homework. If it is real offer 1500.00 and I bet you will take it home.

There's a variety of Colt Ace models dating from the 1930's to the early 1980's.  Some are relatively rare and worth thousands, some are not so rare, and while desireable are worth $1000 give or take.
