[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Looking at a Springfield Champion GI

im looking at a springfield champion GI right now in the EE.
this would be a first 1911 for me. how easy is it to upgrade parts? first thing i would want is a newer style hammer and trigger.
as for the champion GI, any opinions on it?

I really like both my Springfields, but, i cannot deal with no bushing.
The bull bbl makes it a pain to me.Or, i would own one myself.

since it is a first 1911 for me, i wont know either way between bushing/no bushing
