Can't decide which is better. What do you all think. Experienced opinions from either setup would be great!

I don't have any experience with either but my feedback is based on principle.  If you are looking for cheap practice with your carry gun or home defense gun then I say grab the conversion kit (not endorsing the one you picked but generally speaking a kit of your choosing).  I think that there is a lot of benefit to practicing with your gun and getting the muscle memory for your controls.  If you are just wanting some cheap plinking out of a 1911 then take your pick.  The downside to the new gun is having to go through the hassle of using a FFL for transfer.  You can search the internet for the best conversion deal and have it shipped to you tax and transfer free.
