Charles Daly 1911, 7 rounders loaded full go in easy with the slide closed (1 in the chamber), 8 rounders loaded full will not seat with 1 in the chamber (i have not tried SLAMMING it in with a ton of force but have slapped it), 10 rounders loaded full go in no problems. Mag issue or normal?

I think what he is trying to tell us is that 8 round mags and one in the chamber will not seat in his CD 1911...I have had this issue as well with my Colt's XSE...I only use 7 rounders as I have had difficulties with 8 round mags in several of my 1911s...

Maybe.
I've never had a Wilson or pos Colt 8 rounder give me any kind of reloading issue when fully loadded.
I've seen guys try and stuff 8 rounds into cheap gi copies 7 rounders.
