Not to be too nosy, but what should one expect to pay for such a "re-arsenaled" old school 1911 Colt?? I might like to gets me one of those......... I got this in a trade so i dont know for sure what these are worth. Ive looked on gun broker and ive seen them going from 3,000 new in box and all the ones ive seen used are about 1,000 to 1,300. But im not sure exactly what the worth of this one would be. Any experts feel free to chime in. |

I would say $650 or so, but re-arsenals have been going up, if they check out.... |

Reminds me of my first 1911a1, also a Remington Rand.
At the time, I was just a kid working part time in a gun store, and a friend of mine (a former US Army armorer) asked to look at it. I let him, and then went to wait on a customer. When I returned, he had totally disassembled it and laid it out. (Not one piece of metal or screw was touching another, except for the front and rear sights which he'd left on the slide.) Then he said, "See, ya, later," and walked out. Thanks for sharing the photo. |
