I read somewhere that some of the Springfield 1911's have their plunger tube glued to the frame? Is that possible?

Looking inside the frame would answer your question.
Maybe they use loc-tite too, I don't know.

No, they do glue their ejectors in on certain models though.

my operator's ejector was glued in.

My Lt.Wt. Loaded has a glued in ejector.My NM Mil-spec is pinned,also marked US.

Not really "glued", it wouldn't surprise me if some have epoxy holding them on in addition to the friction of the legs. It's not a big deal.
