Quoted: Quoted: Looks good. Not $1300 good but good. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile How can you tell just by looking at a picture that its not worth $1300? I said it "looks good" as in aesthetics. Nothing about it prima facie seems to be worth $1300. I'm no psychic and do not have the power of x-ray vision but my post seems fairly clear. |

That looks a hell of a lot more appealing, and reasonable, than the earlier model they were touting.
The earlier model was tacky and overpriced, IMO. http://ezine.m1911.org/showthread.php?t=47 |

the last time these were talked about, the 1200 or so starting price was going to be for the base model, one similar to WWII production and then the price went up for the more expensive ones. if ithaca wanted to really hit the market running, they should change that adjustable sight to a fixed sight, and put the price at around 1K. i know they didnt actually manufacture this one, but all they had to do was get rid of the billboard sized rollmarks on their 50th anniversary model, add the checkering, and change the trigger http://pics.gunbroker.com/GB/208882000/208882827/pix743096571.jpg IMO, if they release a true WWII repro, and the high speed low drag model, they would be golden. I agree 100% lose the adjustable rear sight. How sweet would a wwII repro be!! |
