Is there any function reason to get a Mag Well that is also a MainSpring housing or is the Mag Well that fits over the bottom grip screw bushing just as good?

1+

One piece is much stronger and foolproof.

I just got the slip on and its great!

No problems at all!

Of course that fact that I waited and watched EE and got it AND a flat MSH for $25 certainly influenced my decision.

This particular pistol has been an econo from the start with everything on it being second hand/cheap, but if I was going first class, I would probably go with a one piece.

If the slip on one––––––-well, slips––––––––––––––––––––your mag can get jammed pretty well.

I prefer either an S&A or EGW's bolt-on, which also uses a dovetail; sort of the best of both worlds, IMHO.

Thanks all.  I am considering 1 of each.  The well actually has to go over the lower grip screw bushings.  I really cannot see it slipping and the other is a solid piece with the main spring housing.  Both are pretty nice.

I appreciate the comments.  Photos are awesome also.  This will go on my Taurus PT1911 - Which I acutally like alot.

Thought about putting one on my Glock Model 20 but I want to trade it for another 1911 style (prefer a 10mm but would go with a 45)

AGAIN THANKS
