Anyone have any experience with this 1911.  It seems to have a better fit and finish compared to the RIA's.  The ACII also has a forged slide, whereas the RIA is cast.  It's also about the same price (about 400).  Has anyone heard any horror stories?

I just picked one tonight.   I never held one until today.   I've heard folks talk about them, seen ads but never held one.     It seems to have a better fit and finish than the few RIA  I have seen (True or not just my experience).   What really surprised me and lead me to buy one was it's trigger.   What a wonderful light crisp trigger on this little gun.  I was amazed. The trigger is comparable to my Kimber and better than my Colts. If it does half as well as it looks and feels at the range I will be please.

I have one and it wont cycle anything but WWB hollowpoints and their CS SUCKS!  I have emailed and called a few of their gunsmiths about the problem and have never gotten a response.

It does have a pretty finish though.

I have one for about a year now. Eats everything I throw at it, including my 185 gr Sierra flying ashtray handloads.

I have had one for almost a year. The local fun shop got two of them in.  They looked better than the citadels sitting next to them.  It was an impulse buy.  I had plans to change out the hammer, sear, trigger, etc.  It functions perfectly and fires every type of ammo I feed it.  I am leaving it as is.

1st time at the range, I ran 100 rounds of Federal fmj's with out a single problem.  Love it.

Fired mine for the first time last week.  No hiccups, just lead down range.  Fit seems tight and trigger is great!

If the barrel I bought from a member here fixes my issues, I would like to try their Commander.

The only complaint I have with mine is I passed when they were under $400 and then paid $440 for mine.  I love it.  It cycles everything, the trigger is light, it's very accurate.  Buy with confidence.  it does only come with one Novak 8 rounder.  Usually CDNN or Centerfire Systems has them if you want to stay with the same mag.  I have had no problems with them.

I'm a (soon to be) new AC 1911 owner.  Actually, it will be my first 1911.  Seeing as I'm constantly reading about how finicky 1911s are, I'm looking for any recommendations on some good reliable mags.

Get Metalform brand magazine for your 1911 from CDNN.

Metalform is the original equipment manufacturer for Colt. Same magazine as colt but with a different name stamped on the floor plate.

8 round, 9 round, or 10 round mags? Will they all work or just stick to 8's?
