Curious to know who makes cast and forged 1911 frames from the top companies? I know Colt & Kimber are forged but I keep hearing that Remington is cast.

Para Ordnance are cast frames as well IIRC.

Remington, Para, Taurus, Caspian frames, some STI's, older Dan Wesson's are cast.

Caspian is cast....sti is forged....believe some springfields are cast...

Lower end STI's like the Trojan, Spartan, and Ranger II are cast.
Springfields are forged.

Not that cast is bad if done right but I feel better with forged. I thought fusion was forget, go figure.
