I'm thinking about buying one of the 22 LR top ends for my 1911.
This just to be able to blast ammo all day for $20.00...

Any input from those who have them, and which one works best?

Thanks

if youre looking for accuracry, marvel is on top. I just got one of thier long slides.  unfortunately, no chance to shoot it.   from the www rumor mill,, bob marvel is now on his own and buying/ using AA target uppers and enhancing them FS.

if youre looking for paper punching, there are several out there.  eventually someone will chime in about ciner.   i like his products and havent had any issues.

TS is a version/copy of Jarvis.  im working on getting one if i can quit buying other toys.

also, it could depend on the features you want and the price.  so speak up if you cant do w/o something or the price is an issue.

Thanks for the info.

I'm mostly going to punch paper with it. It's just so much cheaper to practice with the 22, than even my 45 reloads.
I have a RIA Tactical that I currently use as my go to range gun. I figure I'll put the 22 upper on it.
A simular site picture to the RIA setup would be nice, but not mandatory.

I guess just as important as the price of the upper, is the price of the magazines that work with a particular brand.

There's a fun show here this weekend. I think I'll go see what's available. I just wanted to have a little knowledge about them before I go.

Can't speak to any of the current ones, but I lucked into an old Kart longslide conversion from an estate a couple of years ago and it is an absolute gem. I think they have been out of production a long time, but if you ever come across a used one buy it.

If you can find one of these they work great.

I have a threaded Marvel upper that I use on a Franken gun I built when I was a kid.  It is insanely accurate and dependable, even with subsonic ammunition.  Highly recommended.
