Ok, so I have a 1911 with a boyt 44 holster in good condition.  The pistol in question has the following markings.

Left side slide  from left to right: 12.25 m/m AUT. PISTOL M/1914   N2 18112
Right side slide above trigger is 1928 KK

the last 3 digits of the serial number are on every part.  Lanyard loop is on the rear and the grips are a dark brown and are checkered.  The slide catch extends down into the top of the grips.

No idea, anyone have a clue?

Sounds like a Norwegian copy of the 1911, made for quite a few years but a rare find in the US.

just found that.  Not a huge deal, looks like with the holster the thing is worth about 1,500 or so.

I sold a minty Norwegian holster for $400 5-8 years ago.

I have one in the safe in nice condition, bought for a steal about 10 years ago with original holster for $600.

The shop that had it thought it was a cheap copy of a Colt!

They are unique and well made pistols.

Someone paid 2800 for one lol.  That is a bit much, would have sold him this one at 2,000 if he were that interested in one!

Not at all, just researching.  Am looking into how many made it to the U.S.

That is correct for a Norgie. Modded to use for with gloves and cold weather.

oh I see...the normal GI style release could be pretty tricky to use with heavy gloves, very cool...never seen one like that.
