I have the excellent Milt Sparks VM2 for 1911 Commander length...was wondering if the 4" SA Champion fits in it without issue?  There's only a 1/4 inch diff. so I assume it works but just wanted to see if anyone had specifically CCWed this combo?

Thanks.

I don't have that pistol or holster but if 1/4" made any difference at all, it would really surprise me. I have often carried 4.25" Colts in Government length holsters without issue.

You will just have a little extra leather beyond the muzzel.

I sometimes carry my Colt Combat Commander in a 5" VM-II.

I asked just this question when I ordered my commander VMII for a Kimber Pro Carry

Guy said there's just be a little extra leather on the end, and if I carried my Kimber for a goodly while in it I might have fitment problems due to squashing if I ever got a true commander (which is why I got the 4.25" length VMII

As others said, extra leather... not a huge deal, really.  Friend of mine got one for a Commander and carries his Springfield EMP in it with no issues.  He got brown... I wish I would've.

You could fill the bottom with some cloth...
