Has anyone converted their Mak to .380 using a barrel from Makarov.com?  I have a Arsenal brand from Bulgaria that shoots great but 9x18 ammo is expensive.  I use this gun for CCW and I want to shoot it a lot in practice.  I reload and have a source for .380 brass.  I am really interested to know how well the .380 barrels feed hollow points and how accurate they are.

Thanks,

Geof

I have changed sever Maks from 9mm Mak to .380 and also the other way (vice versa). The only issue I've encountered is that some guns, either caliber, don't like HP ammo....95% of the time polishing the feed ramp corrects this...as sometimes changing to a different mag will also.......DON'T remove metal from the feed ramp...polish, polish, polish

Thank you for the info.  My Mak has worked 100% with the 9x18 ammo including hollow points.  At least with the barrel out, polishing the feed ramp would be easy.

Have fun,

Expensive?  You know you can get 9x18 for around $7-7.50 a box of 50 right?  And that is for HP ammo!

How much is .380?

Much cheaper if I reload for the .380.  I could probably reload for about a dime each.
