Link to pic![]() ![]() Who has one? How are they? How accurate are they? Is $175 fair for used? |

I don't know if it helps you or not, but I paid $162 (NIB, wholesale, shipped) for an FEG SMC-380 (I think that's what is in your pic above) several years ago. I'd say $175 sounds fair if condition is very good - these are usually better little guns than they have any right to be, in my experience. ETA: If you buy it, e-mail me. I have a box/cleaning rod/extra mag for one that I don't have any need for and will be glad to send to you. |
Remembered, thanks. How is mag availability? |
Mattl, I pulled it out this weekend & saw that I was wrong - the box, etc. that I have left over is for a PMK-380, not a SMC-380. IIRC, the PMK was akin to the PP like the SMC was to the PPK. The mag I have may work, but it will probably protrude below the butt/grip. I'll still be glad to send it to you, of course - just wanted to let you know about my mistake. |

Well . . . . Here's my 2 cents . . . I've got two FEG pistols that are almost identical to this one. Both of mine are military issue (blued slide and a "natural" alloy frame) and one is in 380 ACP caliber (R-61) and the other is in 9mm Mak caliber (RK-59). Each weighs in at about 18 ounces. Both of mine also have a little shorter "tang" than the one in the pic. Not sure if the one in your pic has a steel frame or alloy frame. Anyway . . . carried the one in the 380 caliber for a short time until I was able to pick-up the one in 9mm Mak caliber. It's now carried in an ankle holster as my itty-bitty back-up gun. Double-action pull is a little heavy -- but not bad -- but the single action pull on both of mine is nice and crisp. Since there're "blow-backs" I have no desire to mess with cutting or replacing springs. I use a lot of steel case ammo in my pocket pistols and each of mine has gone thru well over 300 rounds each with ZERO problems -- FMC's and HP's included. If I do my part I can hit a bowling pin off-hand at 50 yards most of the time (Can't do that with my little 38 ! !) Six round mags are available -- just look around -- and the mag will work in either the 380 or 9 Mak pistol. Ever hear of LeRoy Thompson ? ? Mr. Thompson says the RK-59 is one of the best pocket pistols ever made. I know I sure enjoy mine -- one is often with me when I head to the range for a little practice time. Ya know . . . if I did not trust mine I would not be carrying it . . . . . . . |
