I just picked up an LDA Carry 9 and love everything except the trigger reset. THe first click isn't actually the reset and you need to let it out to the second click to fire again.

does anybody know how I can fix that?

I have a LDA Hi-cap 9 my reset sounds alot smoother than yours mine is stock.  I would call Para.

I haven't heard of any sort of short reset for the LDA's.  From my shooting, the LDA doesn't work like an HK LEM where the hammer stays cocked until you release the trigger.  It follows the slide down, therefore you need to fully release the trigger to bring the hammer back again.  If there is something out there, it is probably an aftermarket design, and i'd love to hear about it.

I don't think I made myself very clear on this one....

as you start to release the trigger after you've fired, theres an audible and tactile click, which on pretty much every gun I've ever fired before, indicated that the trigger had reset and you could fire again.

on this one, that first click happens and if you go to press the trigger back, it won't budge. you have to keep letting pressure off the trigger until the second click and then you can start to press again.

it's actually kind of confusing until you get the hang of it because my instinct is to start for the second round when i feel the first click...

I talked to Para, the LDA's do have two distinct clicks, I never noticed on mine until I took the time to feel for it.

...funny, never noticed that on my LDA.  hinking.gif  You'd think after 20K rounds, and two barrels (don't ask), that would be something that I would have noticed.

Trade it off for a regular 1911 you'll be much happier in the long run, Quick before something breaks.

yeah, but I didn't want to shell out over a thousand bucks for a springfield EMP.

I got used to the trigger on this thing and I can flawlessly move between my single action 1911's, my glock, my DAO revolver and my D/S H&K, so I'm not too worried about it anymore
