I'm wondering how similar the firing pin safety on the Para is to a Series 80 Colt. I happen to have a spare topside laying around, and was wondering if I could drop that topside on a frame. I was thinking of maybe a doublestar frame, or maybe one of the Rock Island Armory frames. Basically, I'm looking for a cheap, easy way to get myself a second 1911. Also, anybody have any experience with Mec-Gar Para mags? I just bought a couple and haven't tried them out yet. Half the price of Para mags, with one fewer round... Thanks. Sam |
