| Has anyone ever used a Para Ordnance F Series kit to upgrade a 1911 single stacker? Was contemplating using one with a Gold Cup National Match that I have - opinions anyone? Any idea of price? Difficulty of conversion? |
| Thanks for the reply - was beginning to wonder if anyone used them or not. Really like my Gold Cup but using it in competition is a no go with only 7 rounds - the paraordnance frame seems to be a viable alternative. Could you give me some idea of how much they cost? |

Check with Dawson Precision They have had several frames in the past, I have seen them sell on the internet gun auctions around the 285 / 320 $ price mark.. I do not know what one would cost new... but it is worth a try.. SuperComp9 |
| I built a Para framed Spingfield custom shop slide 1911. It had a Nowlin ramped barrel, Novak sights, extended beavertail, precision fit slide, etc... It was a real tack driver until it was stolen. It outshot my brothers "built" factory Para on a bad day. I am a machinist and was able to do a lot of the fitting and blending at home (not very dificult at all) and had a reliable pistolsmith tune it in. I loved that gun and if I ever find the a#$hole that stole it (Aaron B. Fobbs, according to the prints on my freshly washed truck)................Pardon my rambling. Anyhow, you can do it and you can have it your way. It was a good experience, one that I will take on again. |
