Do the .40 cal mags have room in them to allow you to long load the .40 out to 1.2" OAL or slightly more?  Thanks for the help.

Yes,
but in most cases, using the stock barrel, you end up with a load around 1.170 to 1.190 depending of the ogive of the bullet to just sit off the lands (.005).  If you wanted to long-load out to 1.225 (lenght of the mag), then you would need to lenghten the throat on the barrrel.

Fixed.

I appreciate your response.  This is what Para basically told me as well when I called them this morning.  Also, do you mean 1.225 and not 2.225?

Fixed it for you.

Is your game plan to throat out the stock barrel and run 40's at 10mm levels?  If so, watch yourself, the 40 case is not as stout in the web section as the 10mm case, and could blow if you over work the feed ramp (read unsuport the case).

No, my plan is to load it closer to the OAL of the .45 ACP to achieve more reliable feeding, reduce pressure, and hopefully gain a slight edge in accuracy by getting the bullet as close to the lands as possible.  My loads will more than likely be 180gr @ 950 to 1,000 fps.
