Guys
Picking up my new (used) Canada made p12 tomorrow.  It is parked.  I would like ss but this one was local and passes the hold test.  I would rather touch and feel what I am buying than take chance on broker.  Don't know round count but looks like it hadn't been shot very much. Finish is 95%.  Who do you recommend I get replacement springs from?  What nite sites do you recommend? Also I thinking of picking up the px extractor.  Does anyone besides para offer them? Any other recommendations?
Thanks

OK...I had read an account on another site that this was a good idea and solved a jamming issue.  I don't plan to fiddle with it if it shoots fine as it is.

Replace your mag springs and recoil springs with some from Wolff and shoot the crap out of it. Most of the reliability problems with the P12 can be traced to the weak factory mag springs.

i sent mine in to get the pxt, but instead they replaced the entire recoil assembly.  i no longer have that little push button tip that covers the spring. this part looks like a nail kinda. not shot it yet.      if the gun runs fine i would not mess with it, mine had issues from day one. wolff sells just about all the springs you might need. enjoy it, hope you got a keeper

My older P12 had some feeding issues that new mag springs solved. Otherwise it's been very reliable.

I have 4 with standard extractors, 1 with a PXT, and all run fine. The PXT was a bit tight at first, which can cause feed ramp stoppages, just like and over tightened standard 1911 extractor. Put a few mags through it and it is 100% now, again like many other autos.
