i am thinking about carrying a 45. cant decide on which to carry. the G30 or the Springfield compact. can u give me pros and cons of each.
thanks |
| do you mean springfield xd compact? if not, then you are comparing a glock to a 1911. that is a punishable offense to some around here! but to answer your question generically....go to a range and shoot a FEW different types! this will help a ton. dont be like me and listen to what someone tells you that you need. i wasted about $150 because i was told to get a glock. i hated it and traded right away. it just didnt feel right. so try a few out and let yourself decide what works. |

Try to get your hands on both and note the width of each. The Glock is a chunky gun, but between my G30 and any Springfield .45, I would choose my G30. The G36 is a little thinner but only has 6 rd mag, still .45 ACP though. Only 45's i have are 1911's. |

thanks for the info. yeah it is the compact on the 45. i own several of both brands. just not the compact size. i like the extra safeties on the xd but its not a deal breaker. i thought about the 45 gap but decided against it. i will see if one of the ranges around here actually has the compact models. a few close to me do not have them for what ever reason.
thanks |
