Would it be against the rules to have a weaponlight mounted in IDPA?

Would a pistol without a mounted light be able to fit into it`s holster even though the holster was made for that pistol with a light mounted?

I don`t want to have to buy two holsters for one gun.

No lights

Maybe depends on the holster. most won't fit into a regular holster with a light mounted.

Fobus  makes a holster for tac lights  that would work either way.

If memory serves, IDPA has a list of approved holsters in their rulebook.  Look at their web sit  at www.idpa.com.   Hope this helps.
