Happy B'day!
You chose wisely. The Glock 19 is arguably the most versatile pistol out there. Compact enough to carry concealed comfortably, yet large enough for most people to those long shooting session at the range. And it does not lack in the firepower department either ... 15 rounds, with options for 17 or even 33 rounds. It will do everything that its larger siblings do, plus more. What's not to like? |

Good choice!! I have one as well as a 23, 27, and 26. The 26 is now my daily ccw but I like the 19 it's just easier to sit all day with the 26 and I shoot it just as well.
Now get a bunch of mags. I only have 6 I want 10-15 total. Ammo is never bad either. I'm down to 3k rounds and am NOT happy about it. |

Glocks are hard to get??? I had to turn down 3 of them just today! ![]() Thats what Academy said that the "G19" was hard to get....sell the day they put one out. I been going in there for months and first time i ever saw on of them. They seem to have G17, G22 and some others though most of the time. |
| The G19 is in my opinion the one gun that best fills so many roles. CCW? Check. Duty? Check. Run-n-gun? Check. HD? Check. Zombie gun FTMFWBBQ11!? Check. Glocks may not be pretty to some, and are rather utilitarian (like a jeep) but by God, they get the job done well. |

Nice choice! Got one a few months ago. I was not hitting anything with it. So I checked the trigger spring. A NY 2!!!! Swapped it for a 3.5 connector and a NY 1 and now I love it. It pulls a slightly heavier than my M&P 40c but has less creep and a better reset.

Those look like good deals huh? I don't mind the box all that much. I carry my stuff to the range in Gun Guard case's but like to hang on to the original box's also, for value i guess. In my many moves while in the AF i have misplaced or lost a lot of them however. My G19 case did not have a cleaning rod.I had a Brush, loader, extra mag, lock, instructions, 2 fired case's in a envelope. |

That G19 is a pretty good shooter.I asked my Dad (85 years young) if he wanted to go with me shoot'n today..."alrighty"...so we went to the range this morning,
I took my mobile target stands and homemade steel round target and the Reset Steel target i got at Academy.Shot just 4 full mags through the G19, But also shot my S&W 686, my Tac Sol uppered 22LR AR, the Ruger Mark3 with Tac Sol upper. I would have stayed longer but Dad was getting hot so we came on back to town. Anyway for not shooting a 9mm for many years its sure are nice gun....glad i got it for sure. |
