At a gun show I saw a Derringer-type pistol (double barrelled) that took .410 shotgun shells and .45LC.
It seems like that would be a handful.

I heard an anecdote of someone who sprained their thumb really bad shooting a .45-70 derringer. It's one of those things I think I can live without trying.

There's also a .44mag derringer mad. No word on the new .50/500 S&W models yet.

I don't think that it could be that bad. then again I have never tried one.
They make a 3 ball OOO buck load for the .410 that'd be killer in a derringer at close range. One pull of the trigger would make 3 holes in the target. Not to shabby.

I'm just wondering if I'd have time to wrap my wrist before shooting.
