hello;
have 2, bought ftf, paid $275 for each, got at least 10 magazines from a pawn shop, $13 each, have a total of 15 magazines, most are 15 rounders. very under rated pistol. not fancy, points where i look, works every time. have put at least 1k+ rounds through each pistol. not the best for ccw, to thick. simply, just a damn good pistol that works evey time and it don't cost an arm and a leg. rp |

Ruger autos are generally both reliable and accurate. Built hell for stout and will last forever. A bit large and clunky, though, so try one out if you can before buying to make sure it fits you OK. On the flip side, if you're going to use it for HD, the size makes it possible to deliver a proper pistol whipping should the need arise |

Quoted: Like everyone else said, tough, cheap, bulky, etc. My main beef with them is that the safety is so awkward and high on the slide that I can't operate it with my hand in a firing position. Well if you have the one with the Decocker the position of the safety is not an issue. If you are unsure the decocker lets you drop the hammer on a full chamber so all you have to do is fire the first shot double action and then the rest will be standard semi-auto. If I had to choose I would definately pick the DC over the one with a manual safetybut I guess that is just because I had that one. As far as I know any of the newer models are being made with the decocker only. |
