Greetings.
Would someone here care to share their experience with the Ruger Redhawk .44 magnum? I've been thinking about getting one in a couple months. I've had a Ruger Security-Six since 1976 and have put a lot of rounds through it with no problems. I like the Ruger design. It reminds me a little of the old Com-Bloc guns. Not pretty and slightly over-designed. I like that.

A friend I shoot with quite a lot has one.  He is crazy about it now that he has had some
trigger work done (springs mostly w/some light stone and other work).  His accuracy went up right away after the work.  Mine did too!

It's super reliable and basically indestructable.

I'd suggest trigger work if you plan to shoot it much...his "trigger job" was about $100
and well worth it in my opinion.  I'd shot his gun enough to know accuracy was a challenge when the trigger was stock.

Good luck.

My dad has had one for years and I just can't get enough of it.
I say go for it.

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm convinced. When my new job and my old bills catch up with each other I plan on finding one.
