I'm looking to see if a particular gun exists.  The gun suposedly is made by colt is 45 caliber and a revolver.  I'd recognize it if I say a picture of it.  I went to the colt web site and only saw pics of their current productions.  It is not a current production.  It kinda looks like the guns they made for the Russians way back when.  I'll put a pic up as soon as I can find one.  any help is aprieciated.

You guys are going to laugh but surprisingly enough most guns in Animes are in fact real guns.  Cowboy Bebop counts bullets and every gun in that anime is a real gun right down to the serial number.  so here's the pic.

I`m pretty sure it`s fictitious, because Vash's gun morphs into a giant laser cannon.

I'm not talking about the morph part.  Thats fictisous but it looks like a real gun.  at one point in the show I saw printed on the barral .45 Colt Long something something.  If anyone has a link to a page with pics of all the revolvers Colt ever made that would be good.

The pic eno45 posted is close but the gun flips forward like a shot gun ti reload and doesn't have holes runing along the top.  Thanks for trying though.

How would I go about taking screen shots so I can give you guys petter pics?

Well for one thing, the hammer is in a normal position, striking the bullet at the top/back portion of the revolver, but with this "drawing" it shows the barrel below the firing pin area. Its not a real gun, closest you have to that gun is a Raging Bull.

Looks like an updated S&W Schofield.

I am fairly certain Colt's never made anything quite like it.

The barrel doesn't extend all the way back to the cylinder, the cylinder doesn't seem to have any chambers in it, which is just as well since the hammer is set to drop where the top cylinder would be while the barrel is in line with (though about an inch forward from) the bottom cylinder.

I'm reasonably certain this isn't a real gun.

guns of cowboy bebop

Not all of them but some of them. There was a site that listed all the gunsbut I don;t know what happened to it.

Could it be based off that semi-auto revolver the mateba(sp) or whatever it's called.

Check the latch, it's more of a S&W Model 3 then it is a Schofield. Still, the barrel looks like it'll fire from the bottom chamber instead of the top chamber. There was a revolver that used the lower chamber instead of the top chamber but I can't think of the name right off. Other then that it's a S&W Model 3 with a goofy barrel shroud installed.

Yes, Vash's gun is a mix of designs.  Sort a cross between an old
Scholfield, a Ruger Redhawk and a a couple of wierd guns like Dan Wesson revolvers....inother words, unlike Bebop or Gunsmith Cats, the guns of Trigun are totally ficticious.

Nonetheless Vash is one of my favorite anime characters...anyone who cries like a little girl whilst running from the enemy whilst ALSO hogging donuts gets my vote!!!!!!!

The latch is on the barrel not the frame so it's not a Scholfield, it's a Model 3.

I believe i know what model gun that is. It's called a BIC 45. now i know what you're saying " i've never heard of the gun manufacturer " BIC". Well the bic company  was created by Marcel Bic . Founded in France during 1950. Viola ! the world's first ball point pen which is what created THE GOD DAMN GUN SINCE IT'S A FREAKING CARTOON!!

LOL

Yes It's a friking Cartoon.  And I thought that maybe just maybe the creators had done some research and had a found a real gun to use in the Anime.  I noticed that the barral uses the bottom camber but the hamer was in the normal location.  That said to me propably not a real gun but wanted to run it be you guys.  looks like they were pulling it out of their ars.

do you guys know how to take screen shots.  I'd like to put a pic of what is printed on the barral.

Weird cross betweem Scofield(topbreak and hammer spur) ,SAA(recoil shield) and Mateba(barrel).
Also notice position and number of cylinder flutes -- a four gun ? Chambers not indexed with the barrel ?

You're rotting your brain with that crap.

Look at the pic in the above link. It's a S&W Model 3, now look at the cartoon gun, notice how the latch that lets the barrel/cylinder unlock is in the same place, the person that drew this gun was going of off a picture of a Model 3, not a Schofield, NOT A SCHOFIELD, which has the latch on the frame.

yeah thought you'd notice that.

Cowboy bebop now there's an anime that gets it right.  love that show.  they realy did their research on that one.

All their guns are real and they count bullets.  One site I saw disputed this in one instance but the creaters of the show acualy e-mailed them and told them what gun was used and how if you look carfuly you can see that it had a longer mag.  makeing the number of bullets fired correct.  The fact that they were accualy reading the fan sites and cared enough to respond is amasing.
