I have heard good things about the Omega trigger but have no personal experience.  I have a CZ 75B SA and looove it.

You might want to post this in the CZ forum here.

Don't care for it myself.

The only thing to really be gained is simplicity. While there's something to be said for keeping things simple, there's also something to be said for keeping what works.

The Omega trigger system is inherently cripped by its FPB arrangement, which will always result in a greater amount of total travel and reset than is possible with a tuned straight 75B. The trigger bar spring setup is nowhere near as robust as that in the traditional 75, and is a weak link in the system. While some talk of its light and relatively crisp SA, that is due to the Shadow-type hammer, not the trigger system itself.

FWIW, I experienced serious issues with mine. It was sent back for warranty repair, at which point it was determined that it wasn't worth it to repair (i.e., it actually was a lemon - hey, it happens). At my request, they sent a standard 75B in replacement, which has been absolutely 100% flawless (as has every 75B I've ever known).

Walkure, will removing the FPB solve any issues?

Walkure:
I read the entire thread you posted some time ago.
Even when it works well, who needs a tuff DA and a long pull.  Why bother.
My next buy may be a 75B, Stoeger Cougar, or a Beretta 92.
sure as hell wont be an Omega!

thanks for the help

You can't remove the FPB in an Omega - or rather, you can't remove the lifter. The FPB lifter now sits between the trigger bar and sear; that is, it is responsible for transferring force from the trigger bar to the sear. To receive any benefit, you would have to machine a new piece to insert in place of the FPB lifter, with surfaces such that it is immediately in contact with the sear. This would thus eliminating the extra movement that is there to perform the actual "lift" operation, with the travel reduced by use of a trigger stop (e.g., pre-travel screw).

+1

Mine had already had the trigger done when I bought it used. Feels like 1-1/2lbs, IMO, strictly a range/match trigger.
