Slacked off from work and went to the range today. Brought the LW Operator and a Glock 21. Used the same ammo for both. 5.0gr bulleyes under a 200gr lswc. Depends on whta book you lok at,this is a healthy load.
started with the op and getting use tothe trigger was not too hard. Shot mostly one hole groups at 10 yards. The recoil was not too bad. Very accurate gun. Now i understand the love for the 1911. Then came the glock 21 to compare to. Same ammo. Shot about the same as a the Op. but the recoil seemed noticeably less. Had a couple of problems with the Op. it would fail to lock on the last round half the time. Could be bad mag. Rear site set screw came loose causing the site to drift left.anyone. Came home and tightened it. I think I need a new set screw. Anyone know the size? The Op is a great gun. |

The $1200 Springfield Operator didn't run right and had parts fall off. The $600 G21 worked fine. But it's the Op that's the "great gun". And it shot one hole groups at 30 feet. Right.
