Has anyone had any experience with sarco inc(sarcoinc.com) and their 1911 kits? I was curios as to the quality and the ease of building. Im looking for a cheap 1911 and if I can build a cheap quality 45, thats the way I want to go. ive also looked at rock island armory 1911. Any suggestions?

Got an everything but the frame kit about 3 years ago.  While cosmetically ugly they are good parts for the money. My build on an essox frame turned out great.

Be sure to have plenty of degreaser on hand.

Go check out Brownells before you buy something. They sell frames from Essex & others for building. Remember: you get what you pay for!
