Pistols:
Sig P220
Kimber TLE/RLII
Dan Wesson Stainless Pointman w/target sights

Ammo:
200 rounds factory Value Pack
500 Rounds Value Pack brass reloaded with 4.8 gr Bullseye under locally produced 230 gr FMJ.  OAL 1.250.  Crimped to .468.  Win large pistol primers.

One malfunction, a stovepipe.  Chalk that up to operator error.  I stuck a P220 mag in the Dan Wesson.  The first round chambered, fired, and stovepiped.  Didn't take my dumb ass long to figure out the problem.  15 mags laying around, and I picked up the wrong one!

I have 2 7 round 1911 mags that failed to lock the slide back when empty, every time.  Floor plate is marked COLT 45, and have what looks like an eagle clutching a banner that reads High Standard.  I believe I bought the mags from CDNN.  Not sure on that.  Anybody know who made these mags?

Before today:
Dan Wesson  0 rounds
Kimber      250-350 rounds
Sig         250-350 rounds

No formal groups.  I was busting bowling pins, water bottles, and vines at 25-30 feet.  I'm sure that all the pistols are more accurate than I am.

The Dan Wesson was the most accurate.

The bowling pins are scheduled for the trash Tuesday morning.  I hope to find more.  Group buy?

Synopsis:

Way fun!

The brass is in the tumbler, on its first leg to being reloaded.  Hopefully I can reenact this scientific study later this week.

I bought a Uncle Mike's Kydex holster for the Sig this morning.  I like it.  I have one on order for the 1911.

The Bullseye powder is incredibly dirty.  Suggestions on a cleaner powder that won't break the bank?  Clays?

Sounds like the mags are Eagle which ranks right up there with USA and ProMag.

Dan Wessons are perhaps the best kept secret out there and now you done spoiled the whole thing.

I went on a mag buying spree when I got a couple of 1911's in a week's time.  Just trying to see what worked, right?  The Wilson and Chip McCormick mags are good to go.

I guess I got my $3.99 worth on the POS mags.  They feed well, but don't lock the slide when they're empty.  Junk.

I bought 2 $3.99 mags, and a half dozen 47DC's, at a good price.  It pays to do your homework.

Thank You, Lumpy196.
