Model 15 or Model 15-2?

Model 15-2 will be worth around $350 +/- depending on whether it has the barrel tool and wood vs. rubber grips.  Model 15 uses the porkchop barrel and is worth a bit less since barrels are harder to find, though one in excellent condition might be worth quite a bit more to a collector.  One made at Monson will generally bring a slight $20-25 premium over a Palmer gun. The barrel tool costs around $50 for a replacement, so you need to calculate that in.

Because of the tensioned barrel system they tend to be some of the most accurate production revolvers available.

There are a couple DW  threads going on right now in the revolver forum.  And of course the guys over on danwessonforum.com know just about everything about them.

My dad has an old model 14, fixed sight .357 that shoots every bit as accurate or more so than our Python.

Triggers are generally not as nice as a Smith, but a much more durable and accurate design.

I have one and it's really nice IMO. It's quality.

As far as I know they're very well-made.  Good guns.
