As I am fantasizing about getting a new .22 pistol (for my daughter, that's the sales speech).  I have rummaged through countless web pages about several possibilities.  One thing I have not found is a summary of grip angles - I want to avoid bouncing my daughter between too many different grips over the next few years (assuming she continues shooting club level competition.

Rugar II/III - grip angle similar to Glock
Rugar 22/45 - 1911 grip angle
S&W model 22a (18 degree angle) - Glock?
S&W model 41 - ?
Browning Buckmark - ?
High Standard - I think the Houston ones are 1911.

Can anybody help fill in the blanks and confirm if I have these correct.  Eventually I might want to upgrade from a Rugar or the Buckmark to the 41 (to expensive for me now) or a High Standard (probably too heavy for her now) and was looking for a something that would make this easier.  I personally like the 1911 angle, but my Daughter has more experiance with the 22a (so far - but all off a bag).

Since that is a specific concern for you, why not a .22 conversion for her primary centerfire (or a second identical one, converted to .22) instead of a dedicated .22?

Then it wouldn't just be the same grip angle, it would be the same grip... as well as controls, control locations etc.

I believe the Buckmark's grip angle resembles a Hi Power.

I have a Ruger MKII and the angle is less than enjoyable to me personally.

I have a S&W 22A with the short (4" ?)  barrel. In my hands, it points like a 1911with flat MSH. It is light enough for my 10-year-old son to shoot no problem. It's definitely built down to a price, but it runs reliably with cheap WalMart Federal bulk pack ammo, and my son is happy enough with it. Manual of arms is a bit unusual due to the funky mag release location (on the front of the gripframe). The slide can be a bit hard for small hands to grasp, so I applied a little grip tape (works great now):
