I love my glocks a 27 and a 17 (I know they are not perfction though) and I keep hearing about all these hand grenade stories and it has me wondering...do I need to upgrade my barrels to fully supported chambers or is it really "blown" out of proportion around here? Need help because I really can't afford to buy two match barrels right now...what do you guys think? |

The internet can be a useful tool but more often than not it's full of misinformation and outright garbage. For example, it wasn't until the 'net that I discovered many things, like the Ruger MKII was so difficult to disassemble and reassemble and that Glocks were hand grenades... My opinion, the 'net is full of BS, whiners, whackjobs, and self important morons who have nothing better to do than grind axes... Me, I'd shoot and enjoy your Glocks and not worry about the haters and their agenda... |

9 is completely fine. The .40 really should be fine too using factory loaded ammo. . They blow up with factory ammo too. usually the culprit is 180 grain ammo. There is so little case capacity left after seating a 180 grain bullet that even a slight amount of bullet setback can dramatically raise pressures. I stick to 165 grain in all my .40's |

So much bullshit hype on the net about Glocks and there chambers..............................ignore it. Many of us have put many thousands of rounds through our own Glocks, even our own reloads, even in the "dreaded" .40, with NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER. Glocks are fine pistols in any caliber. The .40s and .357Autos seem to suffer from "longevity" issues.................this is over many thousands of rounds though.................big deal. |
