OK, I stick this one under your nose. Whaddayado ? Run or take a swing at me ? You have 5 seconds to define whether it's real or not, after that I pull the trigger.

If you run you could still get shot.

Since you said you would pull the triger anyway...

I would take a swing. [:\]

Bang!, your dead.

Wow officer, I had no idea he had a bb gun. I thought he was fixing to kill me.

at that distance ....  Side step left, grab with right hand over top of slide, thumb hook hammer, torque 180 degrees to my right breaking your trigger finger, rotate upward, forceing you to your knees, knee to chin, remove pistol from you

GAME OVER !

C&L, that was plan B. Would do that if it was a real gun. It would make me so mad that someone would be threatening me, I'd have to shoot him. Maybe in the leg just to get my point across.

Seriously, a guy tried to rob a jewelry store here a few years ago with a bb gun. Store owner didnt take the time to find out that it was a bb gun, shot robber 5 times with his .38. BG died. Family wanted to sue store owner. Judge said "aaannnkkkkk, wrong answer, not gonna happen". Said the guy shouldnt have been stupid enough to use a bb gun.

With some slight variation, that's the game plan I'd pursue as well.

Yeah, but I'd hate to have that engraved on my tombstone.

I saw that too, but it could be a 22 conversion. So I'm not going to stand there and ask wether it is or not. If someone points something at me that appears to be a weapon I will take the appropriate measures. 5 seconds  or 55 seconds is not enough time to debate the authenticity of the threat. I can put a red muzzle cap on my genuine firearm and if you think it is a fake because of it, you lose, so if it looks like a weapon I will treat it as such

I remember when I was taught some similar techniques we tried them with squirt guns and I think I got hit about 40% of the time. Beats doing nothing and just getting plugged, but I was a lot faster back then...

Crap in pants, throw up on you and while your distracted, kick you in the ding ding. Then take your BB gun, drop your pants and shoot you in the ass with it.

No one thought of the "Jet-Li move" in Lethal Weapon 4 when he takes off the slide of Mel's Beretta ?
Although I like the set-up of this one.

Good thing for him then, that everything goes in a movie.

Even my boys mentioned this when we watched the movie (LW). We're Jet fans. Don't nussle me up with what the US has. Who've we got? Tom Cruise? We haven't had a good action dude for years. That kid can do amazing things, but stipping the slide from an M9 with the mag in place is not one of them. Keenah Reevees (sp?) is getting my attention, but not overly so.

All we have to offer is "Muscles from Brussels" aka Jean Claude Vandamme.

Hey Kurt little OT question. When going through your photoalbums at your homepage I noticed a picture I thought I saw posted on I-SIG. You're on there as well, or am I dreaming ?
