What is the general thinking on these guns?
It seems like it would be a good plinker, range gun, and if need be a decent BUG. Also, how does it compare in size to a Sig P6? I thought the P6 is a good gun, but still a little bit big for a BUG. Thanks. |
| I have a 469, the predecessor of the 6906. Despite what some folks say about the Smith semi-auto pistols, mine has been very reliable and accurate. It's actually a little big for a BUG, with all the newer mini 9's available. They are a very servicable handgun and are to be found at reasonable prices. |
| I think third gen smiths are waaaaay underrated anymore. Yeah sure, there are newer tacticool weapons out there, but a 6906 is a great gun. Stainless slide, alloy frame, good double action first shot, hi-cap.... what's not to love? I personally think their R&D did a great job. Good feeling weapon. |

Get yourself a couple of S&W +2 grip extenders and you can use the 15rd 5906 mags..
