My buddy wants to refinish his 12-year-old Ruger handgun, and was wondering where in Ohio can he get a good deal & result?!
His Ruger has an extensive holster wear from carrying on daily basis.
I cannot really help him on this matter since I never had anyone work on my toys before.

Inputs are much appreciated!


ps. anyone ever use Gander Mountain's Gunsmith?

Gunsmith to reblue? what part of Ohio are you? There are a few places in southwest ohio.

Garretts in Newport KY is the only active gunsmith I know of in the Tri-State area, and I don't know if he refinishes firearms.  I've heard great things about a company called CCR Refinishing - they are located in Tenn. and supposedly do great work.
