I recently purchased my first Glock, the 17 longslide.  I noticed when shooting it, about 50% of the time, the slide doesnt remain open on the last round.  This wasnt the most high quality ammo, some blazer, some remington UMC.  Would i contact Glock about this issue?
Thanks for any info.; first time poster! :)

First thing I would do is check the mag springs.  It should run fine with that ammo.

If it's brand new, it may need to be broken in. I'm not sure of Glock's break in advice, though.

It could also be that you are keeping the slide stop lowered with your thumb and just not noticing it.

First thing to check.  People do it without realizing it.  If you're not sure, have another shooter watch you shoot a few magazines.

Usually, it is the shooters thumb. Even a light touch to the slide lock lever can cause this. I had to retrain myself to curl my strong hand thumb down.

Welcome to the joys of the extended slide stop.

Keep your finger away from there! (and dont use remington UMC to break it in)

Remington UMC is notoriously weak and apt to cause short stroking on some new pistols.  At least shoot WWB.

shoot the pistol one handed and see if you have the same issue

Shoot it one handed and if it works ok, then pay attention where your left thumb is placed.
