so I'm looking in to getting my first handgun.. heartset on a Glock19 ... just got the funds and ready to go buy! however a family member of mine says he knws an agent who can give a much better deal on prices since he has a sellers licence or somthing like that.. the catch is giving your commitment to enroll in his class which is $200.. BUT the guys out of town for about 2 weeks meaning i'd have to wait till then $$ could be gone! [>:/] Sooo being the way times are right now with this "panic" or whatever... should i hit up academy after work today or wait the 2 weeks??? Im not exactly sure how much i would save but i hear its good.. ughhh opinionss?

Dealers don't make a large profit on guns the mark up is around 15%.  A small savings is nice but not worth the $200, buy ammo and mags. I do like Glocks, but I would also look at the Springfield XD.

Get it now.  Factory night sights are just fine.

Take that 200 and order mags ammo and a good CCW holster.

If you feel the need to panic buy a couple G19 magazines to tide you over.

Odds are this "deal" is no deal though.

If he's a good Instructor the $200 spent on the class is a far better purchase that the gun you buy.

I'd say wait and see what his package offers.
