Im still going to look into getting a Glock 19, but I got offered a good deal for a used (under 100 rounds) Sig P226 Blackwater with all the mags, etc. Just wondering... is it possible to conceal a P226? A smart carry possibly? And by possible... I mean is it practical. I don't want ot have to wear a trench coat or a Hawaii tourist shirt around lol. |

I'm surprised that you didn't get a reply telling you to get a rifle sling for it as NOBODY can conceal a full sized pistol under any circumstances. I do it on a daily basis with my G21 in AZ, but damned if people still don't understand the concept of concealment. You'd think they were all trying to conceal a Desert Eagle in a pair of Speedo's and no shirt.... |
Clean your room ![]() So as not to troll. to the OP. CCing a P226 is entirely possible and the gun is a good deal. The real matter is if the gun is what you want and fits your needs. I like to carry a G23 or USPc 40 or even a P2000sk. On occasion, I'll carry a USP fullsize in 45 and that's a hefty sidearm but it can be done. |

I've carried my 220. There isn't a lot of difference between a fullsize (i.e. 226, G17) and a compact (228, G19). Both conceal fine when I'm standing. Both print when I bend at the waist. The sub-compacts (G26, S&W 642) are where it's at for easy concealed carry. What I'm getting at is a good holster and belt, a decent cover shirt, and being careful in how you move is all it takes to conceal a fullsize gun. |
Not bad, but that extra medium shirt will still print more than a large would.

| I carry my 226. I have a Milt Sparks VM2 and it works superbly. There is very little exposed, but enough to get a good grip on the draw. The VM2 also has a piece of material that covers up most of the left side of the gun. That helps to keep the sweat off the pistol and it adds some comfort. I'll usually carry a 225 though. It's lighter and the ergonomics are better. MJD |
