I've got a lead on a used first generation Glock 21.

(not that they are hard to find, but I think the price is good)

I consulted Gun Broker to get a ballpark idea of what they sell for.

Problem is, I couldn't find anything but 3rd generation versions.

Is there anything I should be aware of regarding a 1st gen G21?

And what is the average price for one in "excellent condition"?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure what you are looking at is a 2nd Gen Glock 21.

2nd Gen Glock 21:

They are still great guns, especially if you do not like finger grooves or need a light rail.

I'd say a good price would be around $400, up to at most $450.

When you get it,call Glock and have them run the serial # to see if it falls
in the series where there was a re-call.
Mine did and all they did was recut the ejection port a different angle
and update some internal all for FREE.

Excellent service...I only had to pay for shipping to them.

I am working on 70,000rnds thru it and all is GOOD

I can't argue, since I haven't seen it myself.

The guy selling it is a dealer.  One I actually respect.

Any reason why it couldn't be a first generation?

I thought there were plenty of first generation 17 and 21 models out there.

EDIT:  I see that there were no 1st generation G21 models.
