Looking for a shop in Northern California to strip chrome finish off and apply black finish to Colt 1911. Can anyone reccommend someone in NoCal area for this job? Stuck in Calif for present, trying to keep costs down avoid shipping.

OK. HOW ABOUT A RECOMMENDATION FOR A WEST COAST SHOP THAT DO STRIPPING AND PARKERIZING THEN? ANYBODY HAVE A RECOMMENDATION?

Robar in AZ (I think) is who you want to do your work. Their NP3 finish is all the rage among the techno junkies.
