| Yes, they're pretty sweet. I picked up a grade A a few weeks back from a local shop that couldn't seem to move it and had marked it down twice. It's not only a sweet shooter, they're also one of the worlds really unique pistols. Too bad mags are so expensive. Does CDNN have any mags left? |
Out of used ones, new coming in soon per conversation yesterday |
| We have very nice grade B's for $599.95 plus $7.95 shipping. www.topgunsupply.com/H-K-P7-PSP-9mm-Pistol-USED-pr-1190.html |

Picked it up yesterday. Oh my!hock.gif Trigger is nice and breaks at 3.5# Can't wait to run some rounds through it. Mags are about $45-55 a pop (typical HK mag pricing |

I bought mine as a gradulation present after basic training back in Dec 83'. It was used and electroless nickled, paid $500 back then. Mags have always been that expensive. It was a toss up for me at the time determining the P7 or a Stainless Randall M1911. That P7 was the most accurate 9mm I've ever owned. Mine didn't like CCI Blazer ammo however. Don't have it anymore and do miss it (traded it for a 1886 carbine). The squeeze cocker sounds more complicated than it is. Do you think about squeezing the grip safety of a 1911? Just squeeze the grip as you grasp the gun in a good hand hold. It takes more pressure to cock but less pressure to mantain. If you drop the gun it automatically decocks itself. CD |

Went to the range yesterday. Let's just say I have a new favorite pistol. he |

I'll try to take a photo of mine side-by-side tonite. I held them together when I got the P7. The P7 is about 1/2" shorter in length, 1/2" shorter in height (maybe less), and about 1/4" thinner in width. The G19 is just a tad lighter, and thats with 15 rounds instead of 8. |
No camera handy. But...... it doesn't stick out at all, it is flush with the heel and the mag floorplate. It rotates forward in a very natural motion to release the mag into your hand. Many of the heel releases I have seen are just a bit of spring steel that you must pull back to release the mag. The P7 heel release is typical over-engineered German design. For a concealed carry pistol, I don't see this as a drawback. IMO, any delay in reloading will be more related to drawing a concealed mag with the weak hand rather than having to use a heel release. |
Very easy to manipulate, much better than the P-38, and I actually prefer the heel prelease to the more conventional trigger release. |
I have a UCH and it's okay, but yours seems to have more mounting holes than mine. Did you drill those yourself? Your clip is higher, allowing for a deeper carry. I think I'd like that one mine. |
Exactly. I drilled one hole for exactly the reasons you mentioned. It conceals better, and it helps with the P7 since the P7 is butt-heavy. |

I think I might actually prefer the PSP over the P7M8. I have an M8 right now, but the mags don't drop free very well when I hit the release anyway. I usually pull them out. IMO, the PSP's mag release is a perfect design as far as heel mounted mag releases go. One easy, fluid motion to pull the mag out. I'd be half tempted to just sell my P7M8, as I never use it anyway, and get two PSPs, but I'll probably just keep the M8 for investment purposes and get a PSP anyway. |
Thread davidsonknives Re-reading the thread, it looks like he's only sent out a few samples so far, but may be set up for production by now. |
