How necessary are they? It is about 70 bucks more on a Glock I am looking at, to have night sights.

Do you carry a gun for self-defense?
Do you leave the house after sunset?
I'd say very damn necessary under those conditions.

They are considered necessary by most in a carry/home defense gun. If you're new to guns just trust us on that and you'll probably be happy you got them in a year or two when you come into your own.
