Please help.  I am going nuts to decide.  The Kimber and Sig are new and the Les Baer is used.

Sig.

I like the two tone.

I have friends who have had Sigs and Kimber. I loved the Kimber. No one I no likes Sigs. Thunder Ranch is over priced

Sig.

I like the two tone also.

SIG. I owned a 220ST and wish I still had it. I love 1911s to but for me SIGs design just fits me better and I think the Thunder ranch pistol is over priced.

Have you people been hitting the pipe???

TRS stomps on anything SIGARMS or Kimber makes.

Having owned both a Sig and a Kimber I would take the Les Baer.

What's the gun for?

Collecting?
Range toy?
CCW?

damn, this poll option was WAY TOO EASY

Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special 1911 - $1100 hands down (esp for that price!)-

why? better quality, fit, finish, reliability (argumentative perhapse against the Sig, but i doubt it), craftmanship, and product vs the other 2...comparing a semi-custom 1911, from an excellent company like LB to a stock, factory Sig (esp the newer ones made in the US) and current kimbers is no contest imo

and for under $1.5 too? get the les baer

I like 1911s and all but I cannot stand super priced models. I like my 1911s to be plain jane models. My Springfield Armory Mil-Spec is just what I like. I payed $450 for mine.

I've never owned a Sig Sauer pistol in my life but I do know that they're good pistols. The only two that catch my interest are the P220s and the SP2022. That's it.

I think you should go with the Sig Sauer.

First off, what will it be used for?

Just go to a local shop (ideally one with a range) and see which fits you best. They're all great quality guns; i only have experience with the Sig and Kimber (both in 45acp) and much prefer the Kimber simply for the feel and smooth action. But it's going to be in your hands so decide that way.

That Baer sounds like a good deal. My choice would be none of the above. Get the new HK45

i say get the les baer that is a good price, and for the fact that you can say that you own a baer. and for that price you can't go wrong.

The Sig Sauer Elite has the SRT which I hear is nice.  I plan to upgrade my P220R to a SRT in the future.  I vote Sig Sauer.

The SRT conversion is easy.  I did it myself.

Are there many parts to replace?  Any special tools required?  I would do it myself if it is not too hard.

even if you buy a sig tool its not too hard.  I also bought the sig armorer dvd.   If you go on sigforum.com they have a sig armorers section that can help better than me.

I have a Sig P220 SAO carry ST, and a Kimber Custom II.

I would buy the Les Baer.

Without a doubt the LES BAER.   I have a TRS and it is by far the finest firearm that I own.

I've shot a Les Bear and really wasn't impressed. Kimber's are fine but over priced for what you get (a factory gun not a custom gun). I think there are better choices but of the three I'd buy the Sig.

Having owned a sig p226, kimber warrior, and les baer trs, I say GET THE TRS.  It is my favorite pistol, the warrior has been sold and I'm thinking of selling the sig to fund another 1911.  The trigger pull and accuracy of the trs cannot even compare with the other 2.  Get it, you won't regret it.  I paid a few hundred more for one brand new.  The price you have is a good deal, and the pistol should already be broken in.

I rate my SIG229 = to my Colt Combat Elite 1911 45acp
My sig was every bit as accurate as my COLT
HARD PICK

I like both 1911 and all SIGS!

I would pick the 220

I Like my 1911`S to be simple and close to STOCK

Not an easy choice.

I would pick LesBaer, because i always wanted one.

TRS.

Didn't you just get rid of a super nice 1911?
1/27/2008 3:44:12 PM EDT

I voted for the Kimber TLE.
BUT if you can get a Baer TRS for 1100, JUMP ON IT!

Anything but the Sig.
