Couldn't decide where this should go, so I put it here (move if you think it needs to go somewhere else please). I'm looking at threaded barrels for three of my pistols: Kimber CDP, Beretta 92, and XD45. A couple of the places I have looked I would need to paint/coat/blue the barrel. What does everyone recommend for the coating? |

I wouldn't say it's necessary. I see plenty of barrels left in the white, and for a while the XD Talk board had a fad going on where they were polishing the blue off their barrels. If I had to do something, I'd look at bluing first, then possibly a paint of some sort. |
