I have found a great deal on a blued Sig P232.  One of the guys selling the gun says it won’t rust with day to day wear because it is a stamp metal or aluminum.  The other guy says it will because it is steel, who is full of it?

If it's blued, it has a steel slide and alloy frame.  The slide will rust if the finish is worn.

Most likely it has an aluminum frame which won’t rust, and a blued slide that will.

No matter, it a decent handgun that will be fine if you take reasonable care of it.

While I do like the rust-resistance of stainless steel, I’ve carried various blued steel (and rustable) handguns for many years with no problems.

The slide will rust at the drop of a hat.  Or rather one drop of sweat.  I was cleaning mine on a real hot day and I was sweating.  One drop that I didn't wipe off the slide and when I pulled it out a few days later--rust.
