if you want one take a look at this. link after looking at them both IMHO it's a much better gun. yea you can kill snakes and a skillet shot on birds. you still have to get close. the 45 LC is not super accurate. i would rather have a good 44 mag with shotshells. |

It is a novelty. It works well for launching 5 rounds of 410. But lest you give in to the apearance of it and think of it as a good or great combat revolver.... Stop. It's ergo dynamics suck. It is Clumsy in the reload as there is no possible way to speed load it. It is BIG So a concealed carry is a no go. It has limited range. It has limited power. ANd in the end falls into the same category as the DESERT eagle in 44 mag. It aspires to inspire the viewer, Not the shooter. |
So you think the taurus is a much better gun? I like the thunder five. Between the two. The #1 thing about the taurus that keeps me away is "The Judge" engraving on the barrel. Just imagine explaining that to a Judge after you used it in self defence and killed a man. I just don't see it going well esp with a jury. |

There has been plenty of threads demonstrating the worthlessness of snake shot for self defense so bearing that in mind: It is as slow to load as a cowboy action shooter It gives you one less round than a Cowboy action shooter in .45 LC. It's not as pretty or as well-balanced as a cowboy action shooter. Spend your money elsewhere. |
The 410 shotshell holds more pellets. The 45 colt isn't going to be accurate out of those type guns because of the insane distance the bullet has to travel before being "aligned" with the bore. IOW, the bullet can enter the throat and then the bore without being perfectly straight. My ruger BH in 45 Colt will shoot into 2-3 inches at 50 yards, whole different ball game with a dedicated gun. |
