I see Taurus has a 2" revolver in this cal. Anyone know what velocity the round is likely to get and what type of stopping power could one expect say if using varmint rounds? How about accuracy?

Stopping power? On a squirrel?
It is a super high velocity pointed BB gun.
Awesome on small critters. Not a good round for humans. Hurt? yes. Kill? with placement, yes. Good choice. Not really.

I had a Tracker 8 3/8" in .17 HMR some time ago. Stuck a scope on it and shot a few sub 1" groups @ 100 yards. Sold it because the grip was just too damn small for my hand and it was front heavy. Never had the opportunity to kill anything with it though.

.17 HMR is not a good manstopper.

It would be fun to shoot and it should be good for accuracy but stick to the big rounds for any kind of stopping power. On a side note, Kimber made a 1911 conversion but discontinued it.
