I have recently purchased 2 S&W auto pistols.  A M&P 9mm and a 1911 stainless with rail. I already have a Glock 27, HK USP 45 and a Ruger Mark II competition grade pistol. So I was thinking what should I pick for my next double action 40 or 9mm.  Do not want a polymer frame DAO or single action 1911s. I am currently looking at Sig. Need to add another brand in my safe. Any ideas ?

SIG 229 SAS! Recently added one to the stable, which includes Ruger MK II Target Comp, Browning Buckmark, Taurus PT 1911, Para Warthog, and a few others. The SIG 229 SAS has the beautiful DAK trigger system, fit and finish was perfect, and shoots dead on POA into 2" at 50 feet.

How about your user name in the flavor of 9mm?

By far one of the best 9mms you could buy.

Every handgun enthusiast needs a Sig 226 and a Beretta 92.

I really like the XDs as well.

No one needs a Beretta 92. BUT if you want one for a wall hanger, get one from AIM they at least have Italian ones.

Lotta Hi Powers mentioned. I absolutey love the BHP and think is still one of the best 9mms on the planet. But it's not SA/DA.

Based on my limited experience, I would suggest you look at the CZ-75B.

If you HAD to have a SA/DA I'd go for the CZ.   That being said though, I really can't understand why someone would WANT SA/DA?

I really feel if it has to be DA/SA, it has to be a Sig.  I have about six various Sigs, and love all of them.  the 229 or 226 in .40 is probably my favorite gun in the caliber.

AJ

Id say a CZ SP-01. They are known for accuracy and many people like the trigger. You can convert it to SAO if you ever get tired of the SA/DA trigger.
